(wird "err-ah-duhrah" ausgesprochen)

Gegründet 1870 durch Feliciano Romo im Amatitan-Tal, am Fuße des Tequila Berges, gelegen in der Sierra-Madre-Bergkette. Auf der Suche nach einem geeigneten Ort für die Herstellung seines perfekten Tequilas, nahm er das Glitzern eines Hufeisens wahr. Feliciano sah es als Zeichen für Glück an. So entstand der Name "Tequila Herradura"! Bis 1963 wurde auf der im alten spanischen Stil erbauten Hazienda produziert. Heute ist die alte Destileria ein Museum.
